Casii Stephan is a Tulsa, Oklahoma based soul artist with deep influences of pop that colors her body of work. “Can’t Handle Me” draws together hypnotic plunges of brass, sharp and energized strikes of percussion, and a high-soaring vocal that defies all bounds. Stephan sings, “And if you step up in my shadow / They’ll just say who is he? / You’re just another ugly guy at the bar / can’t handle me.” With an unabashed lyrical glow that is infectious, and reminiscent of a pep-talk shared between two best girlfriends, “Can’t Handle Me” is a confident pick-me-up that sees the beauty far beyond the superficial.
