BLACKPINK make their official return to your area with new single “JUMP”

Date:

After a three-year group hiatus, BLACKPINK is officially back with the release of their new digital single, “JUMP.” The track is the first new music from the K-pop superstars since embarking on their own solo ventures after the release of “THE GIRLS – BLACKPINK THE GAME OST” in 2023.

“JUMP” is an exciting return for the iconic girl group that strays from their typical sound. Fueled by their signature attitude, surging EDM-inspired beats, and addictive hooks, BLACKPINK delivers a high-energy dance track that’s sure to get anyone bouncing to the bass. Written by the likes of TEDDY, Diplo, 24, Zikai, Claudia Valentina, Jumpa, Malachiii and Jesse Bluu and produced by Diplo, 24, Boaz Van De Beatz, Zecca and Ape Drums, the group boldly dives into hardstyle territory with this highly anticipated new era.

While Jennie, Jisoo, Rosé, and Lisa saw significant success globally with each of their solo efforts, “JUMP” serves as a reminder that their true strength lies in their identity as BLACKPINK. The track sees each member shine against its pounding beat while still reclaiming their voice as one. Although not reinventing the wheel or ground-breaking, “JUMP” is a strong comeback song that reminds the industry of the group’s vigor, confidence, and commanding aura. And don’t worry — the almost three-minute track doesn’t end until Jennie exclaims the famed “BLACKPINK in your area” towards the finish line.

BLACKPINK premiered “JUMP” for the first time at the opening night of their DEADLINE World Tour in Goyang, South Korea last week. The performance sparked mixed reviews from fans (also known as Blinks) on social media, with some eager for new music and others left disappointed. The group is set to continue their world tour with 31 shows across 16 cities, including stops in Los Angeles, Paris, Singapore, and more. Tickets and information for all of BLACKPINK’s upcoming shows can be found here
