Beauty School challenges ideas surrounding death in new single “Reaper”

Date:

As a 5-piece band, Beauty School uses their backgrounds playing in other bands to create a new combination of the pop punk and indie sounds on their newest release “Reaper”, which features Dan Campbell of The Wonder Years. This song was written while on tour with The Wonder Years and was heavily inspired by the band’s style, as Beauty School grew up as fans of The Wonder Years.

“Reaper” creates a unique blend of emotions through lyrical stories of death and how it can follow certain people their whole lives. This is contrasted with uplifting stories of childhood and how those who have died were loved during their lifetime spent with others. Listeners are left to ask themselves if they truly “fear the reaper” after a lifetime of love and friendship. The official music video for “Reaper” featuring Dan Campbell will be released on Wednesday, May 29th.
