Bear’s Den reimagines “Above the Clouds of Pompeii” with Dermot Kennedy

Date:

Bear’s Den celebrates the 10th anniversary of their debut album Islands with a special reissue, featuring a reworked version of the fan-favorite “Above the Clouds of Pompeii,” now with Dermot Kennedy. The acoustic rendition offers a fresh, emotive take on the original, blending with Kennedy’s rich vocals.

The song remains reflective, carried by sparkly banjo and balanced accompaniment, where no instrument overpowers another. Real instruments shine through, with minimal vocal effects, resulting in a refreshingly authentic sound. The reissue will be available in exclusive formats, including colored vinyl, B-sides, and rarities.

Catch Bear’s Den live in 2025 as they embark on a European tour with dates starting in March. Tickets available from September 13th.
