B00sted falls out of love on “Lose Anything”

Date:

With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, music lovers are scrambling to create playlists for their SOs, counting on their favorite romantic gems to ignite a spark. But for those out there who are mending a broken heart this year, there are plenty of solid breakup jams that will suffice. When we last heard from rising Vancouver artist B00sted, he was diving into the complexities of falling in love on “Remedy,” which is definitely a contender for the dejected mix. Better yet is B00sted’s new single, “Lose Anything,” about the contradictory feelings that arise once the “falling in love” part of the relationship is over and the “emotional breakup” portion has begun.

On “Lose Anything,” B00sted reflects on where a breakup has placed him emotionally. Over a crisp hip hop-meets-pop-meets-R&B production, he acknowledges the pain he is experiencing in the moment, but he also acknowledges a desire to get back with his ex. It is a confusing situation, showcased through lyrics like, “I feel like I’m running but I’m running in silence” and “I try to get you out my head / Running out of patience.” You can listen to it below.

Telling us more about “Lose Anything,” B00sted shares,

‘Lose Anything’ is a song about some of the feelings you may face after a breakup. Breakups suck, and you can find yourself unable to process all of your emotions at once. In this song, I talk about the feeling of being lost and how tough it can get. In the hook I say, ‘I feel like I’m running but I’m running in silence;’ I’m trying to say I’ve been doing a lot for this certain person but I’m not receiving the same back. I bring these feelings into a hip hop, pop, and R&B kinda vibe.”

You can listen to “Lose Anything” on platforms like Spotify, SoundCloud, and Apple Music.
