After much anticipation, singer-songwriter Avery Lynch has announced her new EP, Glad We Met, will arrive on streaming platforms on Sept. 5.
Presave Glad We Met here.
This comes a month after Lynch released “Sweetheart,” which she has described as “a bittersweet reflection on how toxic relationships can distort our understanding of love.”
The nine-track EP includes previously released singles, including “Sweetheart,” “Rain,” “the boys who don’t know what they want,” “think about it,” “Dead to Me” and “Lasting Effects.”
The forthcoming EP is described as a project rooted in vulnerability and reflection. Showcasing Lynch’s soft, expressive vocals, and set against the backdrop of beautiful piano arrangements, the EP sees the singer face heartbreak, healing and self-discovery as she details her long-term relationship with her boyfriend, Jackson.
“The ‘Glad We Met’ EP is my favorite project I’ve ever made,” Lynch says. “Each song follows the beginning of the love story I’ve been living for over five years now. Some songs are about heartbreak and moving on, and others are about falling in love again. It all comes together with the title track ‘I’m Glad We Met,’ which tells the story of meeting my significant other, where we’ve gone, and where we are now.”
