Aranda Grapples with Old Scars when Faced with New Love on “You Don’t Wanna Know”

Date:

Aranda is a band composed of brothers Gabe and Dameon Aranda. They got their start in Oklahoma City in 2001. Since then, they’ve cultivated a dynamic sense of sonic expression that’s defined the trajectory of modern rock. Aranda’s new single, “You Don’t Wanna Know”, is written about the tug-of-war between a new spark and an old ember. The track digs into the dormant emotions that resurface when faced with the prospect of falling in love again.

“You Don’t Wanna Know” bursts with visceral riffs of electric guitar, plunging notes of bass, and spirited vocals that tell the story with urgency. Aranda sings, “The closer you get, I’ll push you away / I promise you / You don’t wanna know.” The lyrics bear the same intensity of the powerful percussion that snaps beneath the surface of the track. “You Don’t Wanna Know” is an enticing and intimate profile on the natural resistance that arises in the face of love.

Revealing more about the track, Dameon Aranda confides, “It’s a song about being broken to the point where you don’t trust anyone to love you past your mistakes.”

Aranda is a pivotal voice in rock. They’ve performed with artists among the likes of Shinedown, Staind, and Stone Temple Pilots. Aranda’s seven Top 40 Active Rock singles are yet another testament to their prowess as a band. “You Don’t Wanna Know” is their latest release which continues the momentum for Aranda.
