anton. struggles to let go in downtempo single “dalgona”

Date:

Norwegian producer anton. has released a new single titled “dalgona,” a downtempo pop track reminiscent of the works of LANY, about being unable to let go of a former romantic partner. Carried by warm synths, “dalgona” features a sparse, minimalist production that highlights his smooth vocal delivery and creates an atmospheric texture.

Lyrically, anton. fights the undeniable feeling of still being in love with his ex. In the verses, he describes the constant struggle to leave them in the past, singing, “Walking home at midnight / Thinking of your face / Every street is quiet / Every sign the same / Try to change the feeling / But it never ends.” He then declares in the chorus, “I don’t want you in my head / and I hate that you’re still there.”

Known for infusing his love of coffee in his music, anton.’s biggest hits, “cortado,” “cortado, Pt. 2,” and “i need you here (cortado),” have amassed over 7 million streams on Spotify alone. In 2025, he put out a string of new singles, including “piccolo latte,” “lungo,” and “red eye.”
