A true artist knows how to be versatile, unapologetically able to express themselves in more ways than one. This is the case with Allegra. The London-based artist releases music that speaks to both the confident and the vulnerable, and in turn, she resonates with the masses. For instance, dance tracks like “Round & Round (Tiësto Remix)” and “Love You Right Back (Alok Remix)” have earned placement on hundreds of daytime radio playlists, with “Round & Round (Tiësto Remix)” even reaching #1 on the Music Week Commercial Pop Chart in 2023. On the flip side, 2024’s Unsent Love Letters Vol. 1 was more intimate than those dance tracks. With this project, Allegra touched on themes of self-love and empowerment as she navigated the different stages of a breakup. She is an expert at mixing emotions and energies, and her new single “Wildfire” continues to flaunt her dynamic style.
Co-written and produced by Tim Gosden and featuring additional songwriting by Becky Smith, “Wildfire” focuses on love and togetherness. Allegra’s vibrant pop vocals soar against the rhythmic beats as she sings lines like, “Live like it’s do or die / We won’t go up in smoke” and “Maybe tonight / We could start a wildfire / You’re the match and I’m the lighter / Take me higher / Like a wildfire.” The refreshing aspect of the track is the way that the beats flicker like sparks underneath the lyrics during the verses before erupting into full-out flames in the choruses. And instead of overrunning the track with dramatic drops and builds, these beats—and Allegra’s compelling vocals—are more than enough to keep listeners satisfied. In the end, they’ll want to start their own wildfire for the ones they love.
About “Wildfire,” Allegra explains,
“‘Wildfire’ is about spreading love, energy, and hope together. The lyric, ‘You’re the match and I’m the lighter,’ speaks to how powerful we are when we unite. One without the other isn’t enough, but together we spark something unstoppable. In a time when the world feels uncertain and divided, ‘Wildfire’ is a reminder that love, whether romantic or communal, is a force for good. It’s not just about a relationship. It’s about people coming together, lifting each other up, and conquering whatever life throws our way. If we stand strong together, there’s nothing we can’t overcome.”
