Carly Rae Jepsen announces her first double album, ‘Day and Night’

Date:

After building her stunning discography brick by brick over the past 18 years, Carly Rae Jepsen has just revealed her newest project — her first double album, Day and Night, which is set to release on Sept. 18.

The album’s lead single, “On Wires,” will also be released to the world on Friday, June 26.

Being in the business for almost 2 decades, Carly has been dubbed one of the core pop artists that shaped the 21st century’s pop music. With hits like “Call Me Maybe” and “I Really Like You,” you can’t think of nostalgic pop without one of her songs coming to mind.

The upcoming album has 24 tracks; half of the songs for Day, and half for Night. It shows us a “blurred, dreamlike sense of time where nights stretch into mornings and days dissolve into nights, creating a feeling of being suspended inside a moment.”

While the Day side is vulnerable and organic, Night is intense and exploratory. The two parts come together and blend perfectly, showcasing a full range of emotion to tell a compelling story.

Physical variants (including signed copies) are available for pre-order now. Pre-save the album to streaming services here.

Day and Night, Carly Rae Jepsen’s latest studio album, will be made available worldwide on Sept. 18.
