South Korean girl group TWICE wrapped up 4 days of amazing performances at the Los Angeles Kia Forum. As the third city on their US leg of the This Is For World Tour, the 9 women brought their A game on a 360-degree stage. Returning to the venue where they kicked off their first US tour back in 2019, TWICE are now more confident in their relentless delivery of visual spectacles.
The girl group hasn’t left headlines since their THIS IS FOR album release as they’ve been on a world tour since the summer of 2025. For a Korean pop group, their 11 years together as a complete unit is a feat. ONCE, fans of TWICE, were ecstatic to hear that all members renewed their contracts with JYP Entertainment in 2022. Since then, they’ve only continued to grow bigger as they headlined Lollapalooza with an unforgettable spectacle of sealing the Honmoon. The cultural phenomenon continues to stay top of mind, as their version of “TAKEDOWN” now has over 277M streams on Spotify.
Warming up with their lead single, “THIS IS FOR,” from their ninth album, TWICE set expectations high with their infectious bubbly performances. The concert’s first act was comprised of their most recent top-of-mind tracks, such as “Strategy,” “SET ME FREE,” and “MOONLIGHT SUNRISE.” Even more impressive were the changing stage and screens, where the members were literally brought to new heights. Despite their careers spanning over a decade, Chaeyoung, Nayeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Jeongyeon, Tzuyu, Mina, and Dahyun looked just as energetic as they did during their debut.
Truth be told, there is no bad seat at the Kia Forum; but the ability to see the members at different moving angles makes this stage production one of their strongest yet. Unlike their sold-out stadium and arena venues in 2023 during their READY TO BE tour, the members were easy to see no matter how high or low you stood. Unfortunately, Dahyun sustained an ankle injury and stayed seated during the show. She still maintained her trademark radiant smile, however, as she performed her upper body choreography while facing the other members and the audience. Luckily, she was able to perform her solo, “CHESS,” while seated at her piano.
The second portion of the concert focused on vocally challenging songs, such as the lyric-heavy “MARS,” “Gone,” and “CRY FOR ME.” With their handheld microphones, TWICE took every moment to look at a different corner straight in the eye as they sang. Jihyo and Nayeon took the line “We are alive” to heart as they effortlessly hit those power notes. Taking a walk on the S-shaped stage, the members waved hello and danced in every direction, though they teased that the crowd wasn’t quite as loud as they’d like.
“ONCE, you guys really know how to turn it up,” said Dahyun. Of course, the crowd had to answer in barks, which the women ate up and took in stride.
“Truthfully, I think we’re lacking a little bit compared to yesterday,” added Jihyo. “Yesterday, we were so surprised. Next stage is going to be hot, sexy! So, please keep this energy, okay?”
To give TWICE a break in between sets, the live band played a medley of songs to keep the excitement going. Without them, the entire concert would be missing the spark from a guitar wail, slamming drums, and deep bass that can be felt down to your bones. The live concert arrangements give each performance an extra element of vigor that can’t be replicated by only listening to the studio recording.
A standout of the setlist had to be the third act, during which TWICE’s solo stages gave each member the full attention they deserved. Some members have previously released their own music, but now each member also has an individual song from their latest album, Ten: The Story Goes On. However, Chaeyoung decided to swap in “SHOOT (Firecracker)” from her album, LIL FANTASY vol.1. Partnering with backup dancers, they all showed off just how mature they’ve become individually and together as entertainers.
Wrapping up the act with the long-awaited performance of “Takedown” from K-Pop Demon Hunters, Chaeyoung, Jeongyeon, and Jihyo climbed over lifted stages to seal the Honmoon gate that projected below them.
Ending the show with fan-favorite highlights like “Fancy” and “YES or YES,” the 9 members brought the night to a close with the viral hit “ONE SPARK.” Even as they left the stage, everyone knew there was time for at least 2 more encore songs. LA’s second night arguably had the best selection with “BATTITUDE” as the TWICE members got rowdy with their moves.
