Shapeshifter Tour Pt. II erupts in Greensboro as Memphis May Fire + Nevertel leave the crowd shaken

Date:

The Shapeshifter Tour Pt. II rolled into Piedmont Hall Thursday night, delivering a lineup engineered for high voltage with If Not For Me, Nevertel, Rain City Drive, and headliners Memphis May Fire. The bill promised intensity, but no one was prepared for just how wild the night would get.

The evening kicked off with If Not For Me, who opened the room and instantly turned standing space into a battleground. But it was the second band on the bill, Nevertel, who completely flipped the night into overdrive.

Nevertel’s mix of grit, emotion, and blistering stage presence hit in a way that was impossible to ignore. They opened with “Did It All” and following with “Break The Silence.” “Everything In My Mind” was easily the loudest crowd singalong of the night.

Before the band left the stage, the crowd joined together to sing “Happy Birthday” to vocalist Jeremy Michael. And adding to the chaos in the best possible way, a fan in the front held a motorcycle helmet high above the sea of people as the celebration peaked.

Rain City Drive followed with a polished, emotional set. Then, the final act of the night, Memphis May Fire. The veterans delivered exactly what fans came for nostalgia, fury, and a full-scale production.

But when the lights came back up and the amps powered down, the conversation spilling out of Piedmont Hall centered on one undeniable truth:
