From the moment the band hit the stage, it was clear this Mamalarky’s blend of playful indie rock and expert musician experience, which was so vividly captured on their 2025 album Hex Key, translated super well live, with each member contributing to a sound that felt both tight and delightfully unpredictable. Lead vocalist and guitarist Livvy Bennett’s voice danced effortlessly between dreamy ooo’s and sharp hooks, sending waves of infectious energy through the venue.
What stood out most was how the band balanced being complex with their music, as well as pushing to be unique and authentic. It was delightful to hear the crowd sing along to their favorites, song after song off the album. Songs came to life onstage with a fresh sense of familiarity.
from the band. The crowd responded well, and it was clear Mamalarky was excited to be there with them.
Overall, Mamalarky’s set felt like a celebration of both their growing catalog and their blossoming stage presence.
