Magdalena Bay finally returned to Indianapolis at the Old National Centre on October 7th. The excitement and anticipation alone of finally being able to see Magdalena Bay again couldn’t keep fans away from lining up early for a chance to be as close as they can get and making sure their outfits matched the energy.
To get the night going and to get the vibes right, Oxis, an enigmatic indie artist known for blending acoustic and electronic elements played some of her hits like “Long Sardine x Mr.Brightside,” ” Jawless,” “Flownder” and “Piranha”.
Following shortly after, it was finally time for Magdalena Bay to take the stage. As soon as they took the stage fans were automatically taken to a fantasy world of all your synthpop dreams. The duo, composed of vocalist Mica Tenenbaum and producer Matthew Lewin, transformed the venue into a neon-drenched portal of mystery and wonder. They played so many fan favorites like “Top Dog”, “Paint Me A Picture” and “Cry For Me”. After a night filled with fan favorite followed by fan favorite, Magdalena Bay closed out the show with “The Beginning” leaving the room speechless.
