Toronto was the second-to-last stop on The Wombats‘ North American fall tour last Saturday night.

Barns Courtney opened the show with a ton of energy, right from the first beat. Part way through his set, Barns leaped into the audience for an epic crowd-surf. To finish, he managed to convince the entire crowd to crouch to the ground and fall silent before jumping up and screaming to the rest of the song.

The Wombats got right into their set with full force, staring with “Cheetah Tongue” from their latest record. The band carried the audience through a wide mixture of their work, from their early “Moving to New York” to their latest single just released this past August, “Bee-Sting”. It was refreshing to see a crowd that was so present, and really there to see the band.
