Jack Avery steps on the NYC stage for the first time since 2022

Date:

Jack Avery is well known for being a part of the band Why Don’t We from 2016 until 2022. After the band had to go their separate ways, each member leaned into solo music. Jack spent the last week of January supporting Stanaj on a 4-show mini tour.

On January 31, Jack returned to the stage in NYC for the first time as a solo artist. You would have never expected he was the opening act, as the crowd for him was very loud when singing along.

He opened his set with “Fallin,” the lead single off the last album that Why Don’t We released. The room was instantly filled with insane energy and excitement as all the fans that knew him from the band started screaming as soon as they heard the drum intro.

He then sat and took out his guitar, launching into his newest single “TAKE THE WHEEL” as well as an unreleased song that he wrote for his mom as a gift. The song for his mom showed a sense of rawness in his voice along with so much vulnerability. There was not a dry eye in the room during that performance.

Then, he decided to pick it up a bit. He asked who in the crowd had been a fan of Why Don’t We and asked if anyone knew the song “Come To Brazil,” which led to loud screams from the crowd. He then went on to sing his next single “XOXOX,” which is coming out February 6 and can be pre-saved here.

Jack concluded his set with his song “PLEASE DON’T GO,” his first release as a solo artist. The crowd was extremely energetic for the whole song. The amount of jumping was making the floor feel like it was shaking and all the fans singing along was music to our ears.

After the show, fans got the chance to take pictures and hang out with Jack near the merchandise booth. He took the time to have conversations with everyone, and most of the fans sat there telling him how they have been following him for almost 10 years now.

Multiple fans even flew to New York from other cities and states just to support their favorite past band member at the first shows of his solo career. If there is anything to know about Why Don’t We fans, it’s that they have always been dedicated to supporting them as a whole or as individuals.

From the moment he stepped on stage, Jack proved that the stage is where he was meant to be. He brought an energy like no other, and there is no doubt that he turned Stanaj fans into Jack Avery fans.
