American bluegrass-influenced folk band Trampled by Turtles take on Chattanooga with locals Call Me Spinster

Date:

On a night that felt equal parts warm gathering and wild celebration, Trampled by Turtles came to perform at Chattanooga’s mid sized venue, The Signal, as part of the beginning of their Spring 2025 tour.

Opening up the night, Chattanooga locals, Call Me Spinster set the tone with an inviting, laid-back opening set. Their easygoing harmonies and mellow vibe washed over the crowd, giving everyone a chance to settle in and enjoy something light and charming.

Following the opening set, the Duluth, Minnesota bluegrass, Trampled by Turtles, wasted no time, launching into “Right Back Where We Started.” Throughout the night, the band’s chemistry was electric, with the racing banjo on “Codeine” or the bittersweet beauty of “Midnight on the Interstate,” every song was effortless and razor-sharp. The strings were intricate, fast, soulful; weaving in and out of each other with a grace that only comes from years of playing side by side.

By the time the final notes rang out, Trampled by Turtles had delivered a night that felt like a shared memory in the making.

If you missed this electrifying performance, Trampled by Turtles is bringing their high-energy bluegrass to cities across the country, set to appear at several major festivals, including the High Water Festival in North Charleston, SC on April 27, the Outside Festival in Denver, CO on May 31, Bourbon and Beyond in Louisville, KY September 11-14 in and the Outlaw Music Festival tour for select dates May 13 and runs through September 19.
