Mayday Parade celebrates 20 years of emo anthems in Nashville

Date:

Two decades in and still unstoppable, Mayday Parade ripped through a sold-out set at Marathon Music Works in Nashville this earlier this week. Supporting acts Microwave, Grayscale, and Like Roses kicked things off with insane energy, but it was clear the crowd came ready to bleed their hearts out with Mayday. Fans of all ages packed the streets long before doors opened, ready to scream every lyric like it was 2007 again.

When Mayday Parade stormed the stage, the venue erupted. From the first chord it was chaos in all the best ways. From fists in the air, and screams that could be heard for miles strangers became best friends over choruses that carried them through the early to mid 2000s . Derek Sanders’ voice was as raw and powerful as ever, and the band performed with incredible energy and showmanship that only comes from years of playing together. They delivered hit after hit from the last two decades, including “Oh Well, Oh Well,” “Jersey,” and “Heaven,” and closed the night with fan favorite “Jamie All Over.”

This wasn’t just a concert it was a homecoming, and proof that emo music was never just a phase. Mayday Parade isn’t just marking twenty years they’re reminding the world why their songs are still tattooed on our hearts.
The ‘Three Cheers for Twenty Years’ tour is just getting started. Catch it while you can because shows are selling fast, and nights like this don’t come around often. Click HERE to find a show near you.
