Breakout country artist Tucker Wetmore is making waves in 2025 with the anticipation of his deeply personal debut album What Not To, set to release April 25 via UMG Nashville. Produced by Chris LaCorte, the 19-track project captures Wetmore’s life stories, emotional highs and lows, and the lessons he’s learned along the way. With a blend of raw vulnerability and radio-ready hooks, Wetmore co-wrote 11 tracks, including the chart-climbing single “3,2,1,” the viral hit “Brunette,” and the powerful title track “What Not To,” which touches on themes of redemption and compassion.
The Washington native has quickly become one of the most buzzed-about newcomers in country music, racking up over 855 million global streams and landing two back-to-back Billboard Hot 100 hits: “Wine Into Whiskey” and the Platinum-certified “Wind Up Missin’ You.” He was recently nominated for ACM New Male Artist of the Year and earned a Best New Country Artist nod at the iHeartRadio Music Awards.
Ahead of the album release, Wetmore previewed the neon-lit, fan-favorite “Casino,” praised by Holler for its “crowd-pleasing earworm” appeal. His blend of classic country storytelling with hints of rock, reggae, and hip-hop roots his sound in both tradition and innovation. Further building anticipation for his album, he recently announced the full tracklist:
Already an Artist to Watch according to Spotify, VEVO, Billboard, MusicRow, and the Grand Ole Opry, Wetmore has been captivating audiences globally, from a sold-out headlining show at London’s Electric Ballroom to his extended WAVES ON A SUNSET TOUR throughout the US and Europe. This summer, he’ll join Thomas Rhett as a direct support act on the BETTER IN BOOTS TOUR, hitting 33 major cities. Tickets are available here.
With What Not To launching during the Stagecoach Festival and a full slate of tour dates ahead, Tucker Wetmore is positioning himself as a future star among country’s elite. Whether you’re hearing him for the first time or already have “Drinkin’ Boots” on repeat, this debut is not one to miss.
