Tucker Wetmore takes over country radio with “3,2,1”

Date:

One of country music’s fastest-rising star, Tucker Wetmore, is proving once again why he’s one of the genre’s most in-demand new artists. His latest single, “3,2,1”, officially impacted country radio on March 10, debuting as the No.1 most-added song with 73 first-week stations, a big feat for an artist still making a name for himself.

In just over a year, Wetmore has gone from a breakout talent to a full-fledged country powerhouse. His RIAA Platinum-certified hit, “Wind Up Missin’ You”, dominated the country charts, earning him an iHeartRadio Music Awards nomination for Best New Country Artist. He even made his national television debut performing the track on NBC’s TODAY with Jenna & Friends.

With back-to-back Billboard Hot 100 hits (“Wine Into Whiskey” and “Wind Up Missin’ You”), a debut EP (Waves on a Sunset) that racked up 810 million+ streams, and spots on multiple “Artist to Watch” lists (Billboard, Spotify, VEVO, MusicRow), he’s proving to be an unstoppable force.

“3, 2, 1”, written by Josh Miller, Summer Overstreet, and Jordan Reynolds, delivers an emotional punch, telling a story of regret and lost love. The hook — “3 words, 2 late, damn girl you’re the one that got away” — with its clever wordplay and infectious melody, already positioning Wetmore as “just a heartbeat away from being a household hit.”

The success of “3,2,1” sets the stage for Wetmore’s highly anticipated debut album, What Not To, dropping April 25. The 19-track collection, produced by Chris LaCorte, is a deeply personal record that chronicles the highs, lows, and lessons of Wetmore’s life. As he puts it, the songs are woven together like “red yarn connecting a bunch of pins on a wall”.

Currently, Wetmore is treating fans overseas with a run of shows at Country 2 Country (C2C) Festival, including a sold-out performance at London’s Electric Ballroom. His WAVES ON A SUNSET TOUR 2025 continues to gain momentum, and later this year, he’ll hit the road as direct support for Thomas Rhett’s BETTER IN BOOTS TOUR 2025, playing 33 dates across the country.
