Bishop Briggs, Tash Sultana, Lily Meola, Leonie Biney, and Nightly inspire activism in upcoming EP, ‘Inspired By Jane’

Date:

Apple TV+’s live action children’s series, Jane, has announced an accompanying EP, Inspired By Jane, due out on April 18th via Platoon. Bishop Briggs, Tash Sultana, Lily Meola, Nightly, and Leonie Biney created five original tracks for the exclusive EP just in time for the show’s final season.

Jane, fueled by Dr. Jane Goodall, is an inspiring adventure series that blends imagination and action as a young environmentalist is on a mission to save our planet’s endangered species. Because of the mission of the show, it was important to team up with artists who have personal ties to activism. Tash Sultana’s track, “Ride,” for example, speaks on the importance of ocean conservation. Sultana explains more about the track:

“As a musician and a lover of the ocean, I feel particularly compassionate about protecting our reefs and protecting our oceans. You don’t really have to go that far to see the devastation cast from human negligence. Our reefs all over the world are dying and we are overfishing our oceans. It needs to stop.”

Lily Meola’s country-tinged track, however, reflects on the beauty of the planet, while Nightly’s alt-pop anthem encourages people to make a difference through unity. The goal of Jane is to empower young people around the world to follow in Dr. Jane Goodall’s footsteps by working to change the world for the better.

The EP drops on April 18th, the same day as the release of the series’ third season. You can pre-save the EP here.

1. “In Your Eyes” – Bishop Briggs
