Maren Morris has announced her highly anticipated fourth studio album, D R E A M S I C L E, out May 9 via Columbia Records.
Along with the announcement, Morris revealed in a recent Instagram post that the single, “carry me through,” produced and co-written with Greg Kurstin, will be out this Thursday, March 27 at 11 am CST. Morris posted a five second teaser of the piano heavy tune the day before on her socials.
The fourteen track album is set to have five previously released songs from her 2024 EP Intermission, including “cut!,” her collaboration with Julia Michaels, plus new tracks with additional production from Jack Antonoff and Kurstin. Some unreleased tracks include “bed no breakfast,” “too good,” and the album’s closer “holy smoke.”
In a new statement, Morris reveals:
“D R E A M S I C L E takes place in the aftermath of loosening my grip on my personal and professional life. Sweeping through the pits of grief, but never staying too long, and finding the joy in knowing that at my core, I’m still who I am – and that’s pretty f-ing great. D R E A M S I C L E became less about the hard lessons and more about enjoying the bumpy ride and finding people who genuinely want to be on it with you because they love you. It’s about appreciating and respecting the beauty and nuances of life while it’s happening, not after it’s too late.”
D R E A M S I C L E marks Morris’ first full length album since Humble Quest in 2022. Earlier this year, she snagged a Golden Globe & Critics Choice Best Original Song nomination for “Kiss The Sky” in the animated movie, “The Wild Robot.”
