Ina Forsman will “Pass You Bye” in sultry new single

Date:

Based in Berlin, independent artist Ina Forsam provides a playful twist on soul music through bold attitude and unbeatable confidence. In her new single, “Pass You Bye,” she further establishes herself as a sensational artist by putting her foot down to an irresistible beat.

“Pass You Bye,” the first release on Forsam’s fourth upcoming album, is similar to that of mid-to-late-60s R&B and blues rock. With a “my way or the highway” attitude, Forsam explores the usage of soulful brass and background harmonic choir, reflecting traditional style marks of gospel and blues.

Forsam takes “Pass You Bye” a step further by also incorporating quick-witted lyricism, focusing on rhythm and repetition. Her compelling usage of instrumentation paired with lyrics such as, “Walk my way or away, either way / I be mo- mo- moving on,” captures attention from listeners while commanding respect. She then doubles down on her identity and independence by singing, “Feel free to follow or let me pass you bye / Bye bye bye / Bye bye bye.”

With an intro mirroring “Time of the Season” by the Zombies, “Pass You Bye” encapsulates the same retro vibe, adding strong a strong bass line and electric keyboard to her impressive instrumentation list. The addition of strong vocal riffs and vibrant melisma appearances increases the intensity of the song, keeping audiences of different music tastes intrigued.

There is no denying the posture of Ina Forsam’s “Pass You Bye;” determined to own its path.
