BTS’ Jin announces debut solo album ‘Happy’

Date:

South Korean singer and member of the popular group BTS, Jin has announced his long-awaited debut solo album, Happy, will be released on Nov. 15. The announcement came alongside a vibrant, playful tracklist poster, featuring the album title in bold, cartoony letters and the six tracks listed in bright, colorful typefaces.

The album’s focus track, “Running Wild,” was co-produced and co-written by Take That’s Gary Barlow, adding an exciting collaboration to the mix. Other tracks on the mini-LP include the pre-release single “I’ll Be There,” out on Oct. 25, as well as “Another Level,” “Falling,” “Heart on the Window” (featuring WENDY of Red Velvet) and “I Will Come to You.”

Jin, 31, has previously released popular solo tracks like “Super Tuna,” “Yours” and “Awake,” showcasing his versatility as both a singer and performer. Beyond his music career, he hosted several South Korean music programs between 2016 and 2018.

Jin was the first BTS member to complete his military service, having enlisted in December 2022. He served as an active-duty soldier at the Yeoncheon army base and was formally discharged on June 12, 2024. Happy marks his first major musical project since his discharge.

Happy Tracklist:

1. Running Wild
2. I’ll Be There
3. Another Level
4. 네게 닿을 때까지 (Until It Reaches You)
5. Heart on the Window (feat. WENDY of Red Velvet)
