Kiss Bang will release their debut EP Horrors of Your Hometown on March 15. They recently released their debut single and title track to their upcoming EP Horrors of Your Hometown on March 1, and they’re set to make their first SXSW appearance this Friday March 14 & 15.

Los Angeles-based pop duo Kiss Bang released their debut single “Horrors of Your Hometown,” making an everlasting and explosive introduction into the pop scene. Combining hard-hitting, fuzzy electric guitars with ethereal vocals, Kiss Bang – so early on in their musical career – has already decided to show music fans that they’re here to make an impact and they’re definitely plan on sticking around.

Kiss Bang creates romantically edgy music to set the soundtrack for their neon world. With a sound that could be played 40 years ago or 40 years from now, Kiss Bang makes music that is timeless and a definitive moment in today’s pop scene. As they set out to release their debut album and make their first appearance at SXSW, Kiss Bang already has listeners excited for what is to come next. Setting the precedent with a discography full of themes such as love, sex, and tragedy, it will be no surprise when Kiss Bang soon dominates the music world with what they call “a pop star dream and a rock n roll nightmare.”

“Horrors of Your Hometown” serves as the title track for Kiss Bang’s debut album, set to come out on March 15. Composed of Kaya Stewart (vocals) and Max Mercier (guitars), Kiss Bang’s debut single is inspired by the story of Mercier’s friend who admitted she hated her hometown, yet still missed it when she moved to LA. When synthesizers and punchy percussion are brought together with Stewart as she sings of teenage excess and the inevitable haunting of one’s past, Kiss Bang brings a catchy, aesthetically pleasing, and unforgettable debut. In the single’s music video Stewart and Mercier perform in a neon-lit bathroom, making the stalls their own kind of carefree universe. As they drench young rebellion in a colorful haze, the project seems reminiscent of the 1987 film Less Than Zero.
