Jack West tells his story in “Lost At Heart”

Date:

Jack West is a singer-songwriter from Rochester, New York. He began recording music in his teenage bedroom, but his introduction into the music industry began long before that. By age 12, Jack was touring with Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder, so it’s no surprise that his 2020 single “Missing Out” features Mike McCready on a guitar solo. Jack West’s music offers a voice to his generation, especially after navigating how his songwriting process worked for him both before and after the pandemic. Now, he’s diving into the world of alt-pop.

“Lost At Heart” is a big shift from what Jack West grew up on. The track opens with an acoustic guitar riff that introduces Jack’s powerful vocals. The production builds to the chorus, adding in some drum and piano tracks to back the passion behind the words. The lyrics tell Jack’s story of how he found himself in the music industry, and how it led him to be who he is today. It’s a raw depiction of West’s personality. It’s hopeful, honest, and incredibly inspiring- especially considering his background.
