Gwyn Love makes “luv 2 the beat” on new single

Date:

After making their debut in 2020, Gwyn Love has become quite the emerging artist in the electropop scene.  Their music has been featured on various Spotify, Amazon, and Apple Music playlists, and has also received much praise from notable tastemakers like LADYGUNN and EARMILK.  To demonstrate how captivating their songs are, the video for Gwyn’s recent single “good luck rly” received over 140k streams within the first month of its release.  Following up such a hit, Gwyn is dropping “luv 2 the beat,” which will inevitably become your next summer jam.

On “luv 2 the beat,” Gwyn taps into the feeling of finding a special connection on the dance floor.  Over a gripping electropop production, complete with pulsating beats and feisty synth riffs, Gwyn describes meeting someone with an “electric touch” that will make them “yours for tonight.”  The tension builds with lines like “I know that you want it / I can see it in your eyes,” which lead up to the chorus that has Gwyn “moving to the beat.”  You can check it out below.

Giving us more details on the track, Gwyn shares,

“‘luv 2 the beat’ is a song about sexual freedom.  It has taken me so long to feel comfortable talking about that, especially coming from a religious household.  This song has become my queer anthem and represents freedom and fun!”

You can listen to “luv 2 the beat” on platforms like Spotify, SoundCloud, and Apple Music.
