MisterWives put on a cathartic show in Boston

Date:

MisterWives made their return to Boston for a special show that was much needed by everyone. The show fell on a very disheartening day for the U.S where Roe v Wade was overturned and everyone was angry and upset. It was a tough day for all. MisterWives know how to bring out the joy in dark moments and they did just that. It was amazing to see everyone come together as one with the music and find a moment of peace through the chaos. It was everything you could have wanted and so much more. The band played a total of seventeen songs featuring hits from SUPERBLOOM like “Rock Bottom”, “whywhywhy”, and “Running in Place”. Also playing new songs “Easy” and “Where Do We Go From Here” which absolutely slap live. A No Doubt cover of “Just A Girl” was also performed with a giant “Bans off our bodies” backdrop in support of abortion rights, a very cathartic moment in the show. You truly had to be there in the moment to witness just how inspiring this show was. It was an unforgettable night.

MisterWives have been making a name for themselves for years now and continue to be stars. Their 2020 album SUPERBLOOM is a stellar work of art that has inspired so many people around the world and continues to do so. Lead singer Mandy Lee is a genius songwriter and can tell such a compelling and authentic story in any song she makes. The band also recently released two new songs “Easy” and “Where Do We Go From Here” both brilliant and inspiring tracks. We can’t wait to see what’s in store next from MisterWives! Tour is now over but you can catch them at a few festival dates this year, info here.
