KILLBOY expresses her “Daddy Issues” on new single

Date:

When it comes to authenticity, KILLBOY is as real as it gets.  She writes, performs, produces, and engineers her own music, truly putting all she is into the expressive songs that fans have been busy streaming and enjoying since 2019.  With songs that cover a variety of genres and tap into complex and honest emotions, KILLBOY speaks to a broad audience and proudly embraces the concept of making whatever kind of music she so desires.  After releasing major singles on her own, such as “U + ME,” “CORY WIT THA GF,” and “TRAVIS,” KILLBOY has officially signed to Atlantic Records and is celebrating this milestone with the release of “DADDY ISSUES.”

Another honest single that showcases her wit and sassy attitude, “DADDY ISSUES” tackles that all too real concept of applying unresolved issues of the past to current situations.  Over the course of the track, KILLBOY acknowledges how the death of her father influences her relationships, as she tends to seek some form of closure with him in the form of others.  In the unapologetic choruses, made complete with moody guitar and an alt-rock production, KILLBOY sings, “I got daddy issues / Daddy come back, I miss you” and concludes, “You know you’re the one I want.”  You can check it out below.

KILLBOY is currently on the road with jxdn on the Tell Me About Tomorrow tour, which kicked off last week in Dallas, TX.  You can find the full dates of the tour below.

You can listen to “DADDY ISSUES” on platforms like Spotify, SoundCloud, and Apple Music.
