lovelytheband bring Conversations with Myself About You to New York City

Date:

On December 1st, New York City’s Irving Plaza had the pleasure of hosting Rec HallCannons, and lovelytheband. The three bands, all hailing from Los Angeles, are on tour together in support of lovelytheband’s newest album, Conversations with Myself About You, released in August of 2020.

Rec Hall opened up the show, livening up the venue with their infectious blend of indie rock. The three-piece are a new band, stating that this is their second show ever. It would be hard to guess this fact, as the musicians performed their quick set with ease.

Next was Cannons. The indie-pop trio has been together since 2013, but only recently found wide success when their single “Fire for You”, was featured in the hit Netflix show Never Have I Ever in 2020. The band put on an incredible performance with a ton of personality and dazzle from frontwoman Michelle Joy. They rocked their nine-song set, leaving the audience in a great mood and excited for the headliners.

Headliners lovelytheband took the stage to a cheering, adoring audience. They have seen a ton of success since the release of their first single “Broken” in 2017 and have been touring ever since, picking up new fans on every stop. The band played a fifteen-song set with songs from both of their albums and constantly thanked the audience for being there and listening to their music.
