Based in Melbourne, Australia, and formed in 2010, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard are a psychedelic rock band to watch out for at upcoming music festival Laneway in Sydney (February 2nd)

Featuring Stu Mackenzie, Ambrose Kenney-Smith, Cook Craig, Joey Walker, Lucas Skinner, Michael Cavanagh and Eric Moore, the seven-piece band have created quite a stir in the music industry since their first release in 2011.  Pushing boundaries in various ways, including: Releasing five albums in years, free downloads and reproduction, as well as promoting unique genres (psychedelic jazz, garage punk, spaghetti western and raga rock, to name a few) the boys are heading back to the hometown to play the prestigious Laneway Festival.

Releasing their 14th and 15th studio albums in 2019, the Australian band explored heavier metal music, receiving excellent reviews and airplay of “Infest the Rats’ Nest” and “Fighting For Fishies”. Both albums also gained successful critical engagement on prestigious music sites.

Playing alongside many large artists including international stars: The 1975, Charli XCX, Ruel and Tones and I, King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard are certainly a band not to miss at the February festival on the 2nd of February 2020 Sydney, Australia.
