The indie singer-songwriter says about his debut album,
“These songs are collection of thoughts, feelings, emotions, anxieties, and everything else I’ve experienced the past few years. When I first started this music thing I was really young, in high school, and had no clue this is what I was going to be doing for my job, or if I even really wanted to. I struggled trying to figure out who I was, fast – because I felt like I had to. During that time songwriting became my way of getting the thoughts I was having out in front of me to process. I realized as I’ve gotten older I just wanna write songs and sing them to the people that’ll listen. I wrote Mr. Nobody through the lens of just being, and not trying to be someone I’m not. The more opinions I cancelled out, the more honest my music became. I started writing songs I love and felt reflect who I am, not who everyone wanted me to be.
These songs are a journey of a little bit of love, heartbreak, oh wells, and searching for what’s next. They encompass exciting times and sad times. They hold a rollercoaster of emotions but that’s what this process has been like searching through my early twenties and trying to find myself. I think that feeling of searching for yourself is something that a lot of people can relate to, and I hope that these songs that helped me are able to help someone feel a little less alone and hopeful for what is to come.”
