Tinashe steps away from R&B style with “No Broke Boys” remix

Date:

Tinashe teams up with producer Disco Lines for a new version of her single “No Broke Boys,” turning the confident R&B track into a high-energy dance record. Originally featured on her 2024 album Quantum Baby, the remix leans into a techno-inspired sound without losing the edge and style of the original.

Disco Lines adds a pulsing, club-ready beat that brings a different kind of momentum to the track. Tinashe’s vocals still lead with confidence, especially on the standout hook:

“No broke boys, no new friends / I’m that pressure, give me my tens.”

It’s sharp, rhythmic and easy to latch onto — even for listeners who don’t typically gravitate toward dance or electronic music.

The remix initially gained traction on TikTok, where a preview garnered over 40 million views before its official release. Now, it’s positioned to reach an even wider audience, thanks to its mix of catchy lyrics, bold production, and Tinashe’s signature style.

With Quantum Baby, Tinashe has continued to evolve her sound and push her creative range. This updated version of “No Broke Boys” shows she’s just as comfortable in a club setting as she is in R&B, and the collaboration with Disco Lines makes for a smart, energetic spin on an already strong track.
