Rich Delinquent and Emmy Mack Deliver Breakup Anthem “Speak Up”

Date:

Four years into his career, Australian producer and singer Rich Delinquent brings us electronic ballad “Speak Up.” Delinquent’s name has been prominent in Australia’s headlines and the artist is breaking out of his shell with his “emotronic” sound. The dark, emotionally raw lyrics and impressive production often sparks comparison to The Weeknd. The song features Emmy Mack, independently known as the singer of prominent Australian rock band Redhook and is also a host on globally known radio station Triple J.

“Speak Up” takes the listener on the emotional journey of heartbreak, delivered through raw and honest lyrics. Emmy Mack’s distinguishable vocals are smooth and powerful and perfectly compliment Delinquent’s sultry voice.

How do you speak up in silence
I know that I killed the romance
How do you speak up in silence
It’s so loud
Now you’re gone

The music video for the song is an audiovisual experience in itself. The undertones of neon colors helps set the dramatic tone and tension between the two singers. The video intentionally shows Mack and Delinquent in separate rooms for most of the video, representing the separation and heartbreak felt when you no longer know how to fight for your relationship.

“Speak Up” is a classic breakup song and will have you belting the lyrics in the car soon.
