Pierce the Veil’s I Can’t Hear You tour’s stop at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium was a full-on emotional rollercoaster, in the best way possible. With Sleeping with Sirens and Beach Weather in tow, the lineup hit that perfect mix of old-school emo nostalgia and fresh energy that had the whole crowd completely locked in from start to finish.
Beach Weather kicked things off with their smooth, indie-pop sound that instantly set the mood. “Sex, Drugs, Etc.” got the early crowd singing along, and while their vibe was definitely more laid-back compared to what followed, it definitely worked. Their set felt like the calm before the storm, as the set was cool, confident, and catchy enough to stick with you well after they left the stage.
Then came Sleeping with Sirens, and the energy flipped on a dime. Kellin Quinn hit the stage like he hadn’t missed a beat since the Warped Tour days. His vocals were as sharp and soaring as ever, and you could feel the crowd come alive the second he sang the first line of “Kick Me.” There was this unspoken connection in the room as the sold out auditorium was full of screams as the crowd sang lyrics they’ve held close for over a decade, hands in the air, jumping like they were 16 again. “Bloody Knuckles” hit especially hard, and the band sounded tight and hungry the entire set. Sleeping with Sirens last song was cut short as Kellin stopped the set to alert security of a passed out fan in the audience, demonstrating the care the band has for its fans.
The real eruption happened when Pierce the Veil walked onstage. The lights dropped, the intro played, and that familiar build into “Death of an Executioner” sent a wave of adrenaline through the room. Vic Fuentes has this way of making even the biggest crowd feel like an intimate moment, whether he’s singing his heart out or just smiling mid-song as thousands scream back every word. From “Bulls in the Bronx” to “Pass the Nirvana” and, of course, “King for a Day,” with Kellin Quinn joining in, the setlist was a dream for longtime fans.
Production-wise, it was a full sensory experience, lights, smoke, large screens with surreal imagery in the background, the works. It just amplified the emotion that was already pouring out of the music and the crowd. One of the most powerful moments came during “Hold On Till May,” when the whole venue lit up with phone flashlights and voices that cracked with feeling. There were screams, tears, and unrelenting energy throughout the whole set. Pierce the Veil is still the master of the emo scene.
By the end of the night, it was clear, this show wasn’t just about the hits or the nostalgia. It was about release, connection, and remembering how powerful live music can be when it hits you in the right place at the right time. Nashville showed up loud, and Pierce the Veil, Sleeping with Sirens, and Beach Weather delivered a night no one’s forgetting anytime soon. Their I Can’t Hear You tour shouldn’t be missed!
