Recent News: Will release his ninth studio album, bbno$, on October 17 through Broke Records.

Since breaking into the music scene through his 2019 viral single “Lalala,” made in collaboration with Y2K, Canadian rapper Alexander Gumuchian — more commonly known as bbno$ — will continue to cement himself as one of music’s most innovative and exciting performers with his new self-titled album, out this Friday via Broke Records.

Soon to be his ninth full-length record, bbno$ continues to build up on the rapper’s signature musicality. A master of blending infectious beats with quick-witted and humorous lyrics, the “1-800” singer is best known for his genre-blending and magnetic artistry. On his upcoming new album, the singer keeps this light-hearted energy alive, hoping to avoid any and all things serious through his quirky lyrical references to pop culture and innuendos.

In light of the album’s release, bbno$ will embark on his It’s Pronounced Baby No Money Tour on October 31, making his way throughout Australia, New Zealand, Japan and Brazil through the month of November. Then, next year will find the rapper on his Internet Explorer World Tour, where he will play across North America, Europe and the U.K. from February 14 through June 5. These tour dates will find bbno$ performing on his largest stages to date, marking this run of shows as ones devoted listeners would not want to miss.

Entering the music scene in 2014, bbno$ first got his start by making music with his friends for fun. Forming a group called Broke Boy Gang, the band played live together for a few months before disbanding. Not long after, bbno$ began posting his original music to SoundCloud in 2016 under the moniker “bbnomula.” After rapidly gaining massive popularity from these songs, bbno$ dropped his debut EP Baby Gravy in 2017, and made the EP in collaboration with rapper Yung Gravy.

In 2018, bbno$ dropped both his debut full-length album, Bb Steps, and his sophomore EP, Whatever, collaborating with So Loki on the latter. The following year found bbno$ launching further into superstardom with the release of his second full-length album, Recess. Featuring his hit song “Lalala,” the album gained great commercial success, both for the many catchy songs featured as well as bbno$’s strategic marketing campaign for the album. Today, “Lalala” now stands as a RIAA-certified triple platinum single.

In the years since, bbno$ has released a total of eight studio albums, not including his upcoming self-titled release, and four extended plays. Collaborating with numerous musical artists and Internet personalities for his work, bbno$ has also had many songs of his featured in television series and movies.

On his upcoming LP, bbno$ is unstoppable when it comes to keeping his artistry enticing and refreshing. Through undeniably dance-worthy beats and charming lyrical content all across 21 tracks, bbno$’s self-titled album defines the artist’s legacy as a cultural icon in music’s modern digital age. Through his consistent rollout of new music leading up to the record, as well as his upcoming world tour dates, it’s clear that bbno$ shows no plans of hitting the breaks any time in the near future.
