Your Favorite Color offer endless recklessness in new single “Forever”

Date:

Alt-rock band Your Favorite Color have released the ecstasy-filled anthem “Forever,” a fast-paced tune channeling the 2010s pop rock sounds of GROUPLOVE and Vampire Weekend.

Sharing about the song, the band said they wanted to “capture the rush of endless nights [and], the thrill of the unknown.” This sound is captured with a boomy and panned drum set that takes up most of the soundscape and a sharp electric guitar giving said space some edge. Heavy saturation and amp distortion is put onto the guitars to emphasis this arena-like sound. The atmosphere of this song is most likely going to be best felt in a live setting with its larger-than-life sound. The screaming and belting in the lead vocals only further add to this energy.

The band offer the song “for anyone who refuses to slow down,” with every line building on top of one another’s wildness. Each lyric is filled with reckless abandonment as the band cries “we’re going to live forever.” In the verses, the group describes an endless night out with the first verses “120 on the dashboard” and the second verses “I’m screaming out the window.” Against the instrumentation, this song clearly aims to soar to new a electrifying energy for the band.

“Forever” is a heart-pounding tune, offering fans of Your Favorite Color a new and exciting look into a possible upcoming project. You can listen to “Forever” now, wherever you find your music.
