Winnie Wanders’ “Delvey” is right on time

Date:

Winnie Wanders is back with “Delvey.” She tells the story of a party-girl who will steal your heart (and your wallet). The San Francisco-based artist crafts a unique sound; her love of the underground rave scene is evident, as are her house and pop influences. The club-pop song is addictive, driven by bloghouse-inspired synths and clever lyrics. The track arrives right on time, during an ongoing indie-sleaze revival – go ahead and add it to your Saltburn themed playlist. Throughout the song, Winnie references Wendy Darling and The Lost Boys, the titular con-artist Anna Delvey, and Bonnie and Clyde. She sings, “On a heist / Red-handed / I’m the world’s cutest bandit.”
