The Strike finds the courage to leave in “I Wish That You Would”

Date:

The Strike released their latest single, “I Wish That You Would,” on Sept. 27. The band, currently in the midst of their North American tour, fuses soaring vocal melodies with anthemic choruses to produce alternative music that resonates with the sound of a modern arena rock band. “I Wish That You Would” comes out in advance of the release of the band’s third album, A Dream Through Open Eyes, set to drop on Oct. 25.

“I Wish That You Would” is a ballad about gaining the strength to leave a relationship. The track features 80s-influenced instrumentals while lead singer Chris Crabb sings, “We made a promise that night in the car / Forever minding our manners / I’ll never call you up / But I wish that you would.” Whether you have experienced similar feelings, or just want another infectious tune for your playlist, the track has something for everyone.

Be sure to keep an eye out for The Strike’s upcoming album, as well as available tour tickets, on the band’s website.
