The Midwest Princess Project: Chappell Roan launches new organization to support LGBTQ+ communities and trans youth

Date:

GRAMMY-winning pop artist Chappell Roan has announced the launch of the Midwest Princess Project, a new non-profit organization dedicated to providing support and resources to LGBTQ+ communities and transgender youth throughout the U.S.

Announced on Oct. 23, 2025, the project has already raised over $400,000 at the superstar’s “Visions of Damsels & Other Dangerous Things” Pop-Up Shows in September 2025. The money will be donated to various organizations dedicated to positively impacting LGBTQ and trans youth in their communities.

The project currently highlights six organizations that have joined and were represented at Roan’s Pop-Up Shows, including Missouri’s The Glo Center, a non-profit serving the LGBTQIA+ community in the Ozarks, Los Angeles’ The TransLatin@ Center, an organization empowering 2TGI communities, and New York’s Ali Forney Center, dedicated to protecting LGBTQ+ from homelessness, among others. Find out more about each organization on the Midwest Princess Project website here

The project’s donation site shares that contributions will help the organization’s mission, and is a sponsored project of the Catalyst Philanthropy Fund, a 501(c)(3) public charity.

LGBTQ+ popstar Chappell Roan has taken the world by storm since the release of her compelling debut album, The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess (2023), featuring breakout singles “Hot To Go!,” “Pink Pony Club,” and “Red Wine Supernova.”

The up-and-coming star gained worldwide recognition for more than her standout hits; her relatable storytelling, as well as her distinct “camp” outfits and iconic drag-queen-influenced style, shot her to fame.

Earlier this year, the star won “Best New Artist” at the 67th Grammy Awards, and she headlined popular music festivals like Coachella, Governor’s Ball, and more.

Her single “The Subway” first premiered at her Governor’s Ball performance in 2024, and since its release, has hit over 190 million streams on Spotify. She launched her Visions of Damsels & Other Dangerous Things pop-up tour in select U.S. cities in September 2025.

The Midwest Princess herself is set to headline music festivals in 2026, including Lollapalooza Chile, Argentina, and Brasil, and Australia’s Laneway Festival. More information about her upcoming performances can be found here
