The Fray announce new album ‘A Light That Waits’ and summer tour

Rock band The Fray are set to release their first studio album in over a decade titled A Light That Waits this March. Along with the album, the Nashville band will also be touring the UK and North America this summer on their Summer of Light Tour.

Releasing on the March 13, A Light That Waits is the culmination of The Fray’s return to music after a decade-long hiatus, with singles “My Heart’s a Crowded Room,” “Emerald,” and “Songs I’d Rather Not Sing” released in 2025. The album’s latest single and title track, “A Light That Waits,” is out now. Seven more tracks will be on the album, which was produced by Ryan Linvill and Jason Suwito.

In support of the album’s release, The Fray will tour North America and the UK with support from Dashboard Confessional, Colony House, The Strumbellas and Brother Elsey. Starting on May 11 in Moncton, New Brunswick in Canada, the international tour will make 36 stops before finishing in Chicago on August 29. Other stops on the Summer of Light tour include London, Montreal, Vancouver, Kansas City, Los Angeles, San Diego, Austin, Cleveland, Toronto and Detroit.

Both a band and Citi pre-sale will be available. Fans can sign up for a seated registration pre-sale through the band here. This pre-sale starts on January 28 at 10am local time and finishes on the January 30 at 10am local time. For US fans holding a Citi card, pre-sale will begin on January 27 at 10am local time and conclude on January 29 at 10pm local time. General tickets will go on sale on January 30 here.
