The Flaming Lips and Modest Mouse co-headlining ‘It’s Summertime’ tour

Date:

This summer, indie rockers The Flaming Lips and Modest Mouse are hitting the road together for a co-headlining ‘It’s Summertime’ tour that kicks off August 1st in Atlanta, GA, at the Coca-Cola Roxy. The cross-country tour will consist of outdoor theaters across the US with notable stops in Chicago (The Salt Shed, 8/16), Los Angeles (Greek Theatre, 9/4), Santa Barbara (Santa Barbara Bowl, 9/5), and Berkeley (Greek Theatre, 9/7). Friko and Dehd will open on select dates, making for a lineup that blends legacy and fresh energy.

Tickets go on sale Friday, March 28 at 10 AM local time, with artist presales starting Wednesday, March 26. Tour details and tickets are available at flaminglips.com and modestmouse.com.

The Flaming Lips are making their first American tour since touring with Weezer and Dinosaur Jr. last year. The band recently dropped an expanded 20th-anniversary edition of Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots, along with a 25th-anniversary zoetrope vinyl pressing of The Soft Bulletin

Modest Mouse wrapped up a 2024 tour commemorating the 20th anniversary of Good News for People Who Love Bad News, playing the album front to back. That tour followed the release of the expanded edition of the album that helped launch them beyond the underground scene.
