The announcement the Clique’s been waiting for: Twenty One Pilots reveal second single off ‘BREACH’

Date:

Twenty One Pilots reveal that “Drum Show” will be the second single off of BREACH, debuting on August 18 ahead of the album release on September 12.

This announcement comes two months following the release of their lead single “The Contract,” confirming that the band’s storyline from prior albums is not quite complete.

The Ohio duo published a teaser video on Wednesday afternoon with a snippet of the upcoming third track of the album.

Leaving fans with a cliffhanger to the Blurryface saga with their 2024 album Clancy, frontman Tyler Joseph confirmed that BREACH serves as the second part to their seventh album. It’s only fitting that the 30-second clip already indicates that “Drum Show” will have a similar vibe to Clancy songs “Navigating” and “Next Semester.” The only lyrics listeners have so far: “Putting on a drum show.”

The short video takes place inside a car, seemingly connected to the duo’s mysterious livestream on August 11 labeled “2025-08-01_20_54_04.” The pair conducted a 21-minute-long demonstration of drummer Josh Dun setting up his drum kit in a parking garage alongside Joseph, who quickly sets up a microphone before a brief lounge on a beach chair.

As if the location isn’t eerie enough, a distant speaker calls, “Attention, attention: Service request number 8,” (13:40), followed by “request number 1,” (16:40), and again “request number 8” (19:37), indicating to fans days in advance that something significant was to come on 8/18.

The Clique (the band’s fanbase) are not unfamiliar with uncovering cryptic messages and hidden lore, as they continue to connect the band’s storyline dating back to their “Stressed Out” album Blurryface (2016) and prior.

Ahead of the “Drum Show” announcement, Twenty One Pilots shared locations for upcoming BREACH album listening parties worldwide on September 6 and 7, including select dates in the US, ahead of the official BREACH debut the following week.

For a chance to see Josh Dun perform a “Drum Show” across the United States, Twenty One Pilots will embark on THE CLANCY TOUR: BREACH, running this fall from mid-September through October. Grab your tickets here.
