It’s a love story, and baby she said “Yes”! Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce unveiled their engagement to Instagram after two years of dating.
“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨”, the pair captioned the announcement. In the photo carousel, Swift includes a show-stopping shot of her new ring coupled with her song “So High School” from her album The Tortured Poets Department.
In the first hour of the announcement being online, the post garnered over 9.5 million likes.
The couple started dating in secret back in the summer of 2023, going public that same September when Swift attended a Kansas City Chiefs game. This appearance came soon after Kelce’s story on his New Heights podcast about his failed attempt at giving the singer a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it at one of her Eras Tour shows at Arrowhead Stadium.
Since then, Taylor has attended multiple Chiefs games and both recent Super Bowls, while Travis was spotted at many Eras Tour shows around the world; he even joined her onstage at one of the London stops in June 2024.
