stayMellow Releases Second Track of 2024, “i thought i saw myself sinking”

Date:

Alternative rock artist stayMellow released his latest single, “i thought i saw myself sinking”, on June 18. The piece is stayMellow’s second track of 2024 and his first since March, when he released “bad mirage”.

The song features classic rock elements including powerful guitar riffs and mighty drums that make the lyrics all the more intense. stayMellow said the song is about being his own worst enemy, and sings “Doomed if it was up to you / Born to win but you came to lose” in the chorus. To deepen the emotional sense of hopelessness, he adds, “I sleep away my life, I know the world could pass me by” and “Wanna be someone but I don’t know who”. These lyrics, paired with a sharp instrumental production, create a piece that is difficult to pass up.

About the release of this track, stayMellow said:

“i wrote and recorded this song two years ago, after some complications i ended up leaving it behind and thought i wouldn’t put it out. One day i decided to rebuild it from the ground up, with a new energy that i hadn’t realised in the first version. i thought i saw myself sinking is about being your own worst enemy and overcoming your doubts to achieve anything you want.”
