SOZI is a songwriter, producer, and certified pop star. After growing up around music, it’s no secret that as an adult she has a passion for creating electric performances. You may have heard some her music on Netflix’s Love Is Blind, or maybe you’ve been to one of her live shows in Los Angeles, Chicago, & Austin’s SXSW Conference. For those who haven’t heard of SOZI yet, we’ll paint the picture for you- she’s a pop icon on the rise, and she’s just delivered her newest single, “Jinx It.”
“Jinx It” is all about breathing in the best days of your life, hoping they won’t end anytime soon. This track is full of fun- gathering some pop-punk electric guitar melodies, upbeat vocals, and spunky production elements sprinkled in. SOZI brings a buildup in the bridge that leans into a spoken: “Wait, what day is it today?” That jumps right back into the heavy chorus. This isn’t a song to listen to while you study- you’re meant to rock out along with the artist.
