Indie rock artist Soul Civilian is falling in love with someone he holds dear, and no, he cannot escape it in his latest single “Falling For You”. Soul Civilian is the solo project of songwriter and composer Raul F. Garcia, who debuted last year with his solo single “OK”, which is about moving on from a previous life in a mix of new possibilities — it was limbo.
The latest Soul Civilian single is an exploration of indie pop and alternative rock that features Garcia’s smooth vocals and chill indie pop. He sings, “I just can’t shake it / feelings that escape me / I just can’t fake it anymore”, as the electric guitar and electro synths build up in this passionate chorus.
Garcia continues to put himself on the map under the name Soul Civilian, feeling his way through the industry as a relatively new artist. Still, with Wallows and Vampire Weekend influences, he manages to tackle the alternative rock with great strides.
