Taylor Acorn has unveiled the latest glimpse into her upcoming album Poster Child ahead of its release on October 24th via Fearless Records. “Crashing Out” is a gritty alt-rock anthem that puts Acorn’s raw, unapologetic attitude in full force with her signature lyrical honesty and vulnerability.
The new single captures the emotional torment of a chaotic, inconsistent romance that leaves you always questioning everything whether you’re alone or surrounded in a crowded room. Acorn’s alluring vocals cut through and paint the picture as she sings, “Addicted to the chaos / Knuckles going white” and “I keep on talking you up to my therapist / She said ‘Now look you might just be a masochist.’” The song’s blistering guitar riffs, piercing rhythm and commanding vocal delivery introduce another exciting taste of Poster Child. Speaking on the track, Acorn shares,
“‘Crashing Out’ is a song that I wrote with Dylan Bauld and Mandy Lee from Misterwives and it’s one of my favorites off of the album. It has such an infectious nostalgic feel to it, it’s super up beat and just an all around great vibe. You can dance to it, you can crash out to it in which I’ve done both. I think the fans will really love this one and I’m so excited for everyone to hear it!”
“Crashing Out” will be released tomorrow, September 19th. Acorn will kick off a massive North American headline tour this November, alongside appearances on monumental festival stages including When We Were Young Fest and Vans Warped Tour Orlando.
