Date:

After nearly two decades, OneRepublic, the GRAMMY-nominated, multi-platinum band, is back under a new label!

The band has signed a recording contract with Bertelsmann Music Group (BMG) to release their seventh studio album, with their first single, “Beautiful Colors,” to be released today, July 25th. This deal marks the band’s first release with a new label since their breakthrough album Dreaming Out Loud in 2007.

With hit songs like “Apologize,” which smashed digital sales and airplay records, “Secrets” and “Good Life” from their sophomore album, and most recently, their 4x Platinum single, “I Ain’t Worried” (from Top Gun: Maverick), OneRepublic has amassed more than 18 billion streams to date on Spotify alone.

Of the new partnership, co-Founder and frontman of the band Ryan Tedder said,

“We’re excited to join the BMG family to keep releasing music that our fans will love. Jon and Dan have already been such incredible partners throughout this whole process, and we’re looking forward to their continued support. We can’t wait for our fans to hear our new single ‘Beautiful Colors’ inspired by the Japanese anime series ‘Kaiju No. 8’, coming out later this month!”

The excitement for this new partnership is expressed in equally by BMG with Jon Loba, BMG President, Frontline Recordings, The Americas, sharing that,

“OneRepublic is one of the most dynamic and enduring bands of the past two decades, with a global footprint that spans chart-topping hits, billions of streams, and a deep catalog of era-defining music. Their ability to evolve, innovate, and connect with audiences worldwide aligns perfectly with BMG’s artist-first philosophy.”

Dan Gill, BMG EVP, Recorded Music, West Coast, who also expressed his excitement for the partnership and new development for BMG, said,

“This partnership marks an exciting new chapter – not just for the band. Partnering with OneRepublic further strengthens our ability to collaborate at the highest level and deliver for artists of this caliber. We are fully committed to supporting OneRepublic’s creative vision and ensuring their upcoming album reaches fans on a scale like never before.”

With a contract under a new label and a new single out today, OneRepublic is claiming center stage again with what is looking to be a very exciting year.
