NIGHTBREAKERS simply cant shake their memories in “I Almost Forgot”

Date:

The punk pop/rock band NIGHTBREAKERS is embracing the troubles and tribulations of failed relationships in their single “I Almost Forgot,” off their EP Until We’re Gone. This is their second EP of the year after multiple singles. 2024 has been a busy year for the band, but that does not take away from them releasing another amazing song to their discography.

The song is energetic with an up-tempo melody including an inviting electric guitar. The drums give the traditional percussion that’s adored throughout the punk/rock music scene but the vocals round it out with a more modern tonal quality. Along with this, the synths that imitate echoes to end the song are an interesting choice that, while not expected, were a memorable way to end the track.

The lyrical composition navigates a past relationship that you just can’t shake the memories of. The lyrics are clear in the theme they’re trying to portray: “Remember when I said forever, oh no because / I almost forgot / only for a little bit now I want it all.” There’s a layer of depth within the words portraying this feeling that you can’t escape this person of your past.

Overall, the blending of the traditional and modern sounds is bound to appeal to many. NIGHTBREAKERS is truly solidifying their sound and artistic abilities through their recent projects.
